**The Opportunity**

At the Monash Performing Arts Centres (MPAC), we are seeking a Venue Hire Coordinator to manage all programmed internal and external commercial hirers of MPAC’s Clayton campus venues.

Monash University is committed to supporting growth in the performing arts in Melbourne’s south-east. We provide state-of-the-art facilities for world class professional productions, students, community groups, schools and local residents. Our Alexander Theatre has been recently refurbished as part of the Ian Potter Centre for Performing Arts; a $45 million performing arts centre which contains a revitalised 586-seat theatre, a 130-seat Sound Gallery and 200-seat Jazz Club. These new venues complement the existing Robert Blackwood Hall at the Clayton campus, and George Jenkins Theatre at the Peninsula campus.

Working in conjunction with the Venue Hire Manager you will help to develop and implement strategies to maximise the commercial use of all Clayton venues. You will also act as the first point of contact for clients hiring Clayton campus venues, and use complex software systems to create and organise venue bookings. Your role will revolve around building and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external colleagues and MPAC stakeholders, so your strong interpersonal and communication skills will prove vital.
