**Job Description**:
This is an an exciting and rewarding opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to join the Inspections team in Malaga WA. The main responsibilities will be to perform inspection and testing activities as well as to develop the market offering in WA.
Your key responsibilities in this role will include but are not limited to:
- Engineering, welding and QA/QC surveillance inspections for various industrial equipment.
- Design Verification.
- Pre/Post-Shipment Inspections.
- Cargo Surveys.
- Inspection of Pipes and Structures.
- Advance Non-Destructive Testing.
- Storage tank Inspections.
- Ensure all tasks are completed and delivered in a timely manner to meet client expectations and compliance requirements.
- Complete accurate reports in a timely manner to ensure all information reported is delivered as per client time frame.
- Liaise with clients to initiate and carry out their requirements to maintain optimum client satisfaction.
- Market and develop the growth in the business by identifying further services SGS can provide to clients.
- Identify potential business opportunities in area of inspections
**Qualifications**:
- Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
- Previous experience working in a similar role with technical and professional knowledge in inspection services.
- Knowledge of Statutory Inspection and Advance NDT.
- Awareness of AS/EC standards.
To be successful for this role you are required to have:
- AICIP (preferred) or combination of API510 + API 570
- Welding inspector CSWIP 3.1 and above
- At least basic NDT Qualifications (MT, PT, UT) ASNT/PCN Level 2 or above
- Level 2 in Eddy Current
It is an advantage to have:
- API 571- Corrosion and Materials
- API 577-Welding Inspection and Metallurgy
- Level 2 in RT
- ISO 7507-4 Vertical Storage Tank Calibration
- API 653 - Inspection of vertical Storage Tanks
- RMS - UT Scanner
- Advanced NDT: PAUT
- Theodolite Laser Experience
