Who you are?

We are seeking applicants for the position of a 2IC Laboratory Manager at Bureau Veritas Minerals’ Perth Trade Laboratory In Malaga, WA. The position will be working closely with the Laboratory Manager to manage the Standard & Reference operation, ensuring that the business performs at an optimal level to exceed in meeting customers’ expectation.

As the 2IC Laboratory Manager you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

- Conduct HS&E training and toolbox talks as required
- Coordinate and manage the workflow meeting customers’ expectations
- Plans, writes and delivers training programs for employees, trainees and lower technical levels
- Perform and supervise a range of routine test work within set guidelines and priorities
- Be the main liaison with existing clients to ensure client expectations are maintained

What will you bring to the role?
- Sound leadership skills
- Possess a sound knowledge of occupational health and safety, industrial relations and communications processes and is able to use this knowledge in training and leading the work of others.
- It is desirable to have Exposure to Minerals testing
- Formal qualification in chemistry
- Customer Focussed
- Ability to solve problems that arise in the course of his work
- High standard of integrity, commitment and accuracy
