**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Fellow to take the lead in developing an innovative, unifying model for the transport of charged ions and uncharged molecules through polymeric ion exchange membranes. This exciting project aims to bridge the gap between fundamental and applied research by incorporating real-world complexities, moving beyond idealized solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Conduct research and deliver against research objectives to meet project milestones
- Become fully immersed in the research culture of the Faculty.
- Prepare publications arising from research in peer-reviewed journals, articles and oral and written presentations to industry and lay audiences, including presentations at industry and scientific conferences.

**Who We Are Looking For**

To be successful in this role you will be a highly motivated researcher, with research experience in in mathematical modelling of membrane processes or polymer thermodynamics. You will also have excellent communication skills, with the ability to develop positive working relationships with a range of stakeholders.

You will also have:

- Completion of a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or applied mathematics.
- Completion of a PhD in mathematical modelling of membrane processes or polymer thermodynamics
- Ability to undertake research under limited supervision and deliver against research objectives evidenced by peer-reviewed publications as well as oral and written presentations for scientific, industry and lay audiences.
- Demonstrated experience in submitting reports to research bodies, corporate entities and high-quality scholarly journals.
