The Policy Officer, Supply Chain, supports the development of the supply chain strategy for establishing Victoria's Offshore Wind industry. The position sits within the Supply Chain, Workforce and Regional Development team, which is part of the Partnership and Engagement function of Offshore Wind Energy Victoria (OWEV).
The position is expected to undertake a range of activities relating to research and analysis, policy development, project management, and stakeholder engagement in the areas of supply chain, industry development, workforce and regional development. Core to the role is working with other DEECA branches, Victorian Government Departments, offshore wind developers and participants in the offshore wind supply chain to identify challenges and opportunities to establish a thriving offshore wind industry that can achieve Victoria's offshore wind targets.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- Knowledge of the energy sector is preferable, with experience in emerging energy technologies including offshore wind being highly desirable.
- An appropriate tertiary qualification/s. Expertise in energy, engineering, accounting and/or finance with a commercial focus is desirable.
- Understanding of the technical and policy barriers and opportunities for renewable energy in Victoria and Australia, and related energy policy and the energy market is desirable.
- Familiarity with Government systems, processes and operations including procurement rules is desirable. An appropriate tertiary qualification/s with a commercial focus is desirable.

This is a fixed term position available until June 2025. The work location for this position is Level 6, 8 Nicholson Street, East Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.
