**About the role**

This exciting position sits within council’s dynamic Waste Services division. The role will make a difference to the environment by changing community waste and recycling behaviours.

The primary objectives are to:

- Assist in the development, delivery and review of Council’s Waste and Litter Strategy
- Develop and deliver effective community engagement and education programs that support a reduction in litter and a sense of community pride
- Administer Council’s Litter Action Task Force (LATF) to support positive outcomes associated with Council’s Waste and Litter strategy
- Build strong and effective partnerships with key stakeholders necessary to deliver litter prevention initiatives

**About you**
- A relevant qualification or relevant work experience, for example experience in developing and delivering community engagement and education programs
- Ability to effectively manage time, and to plan and prioritise resources
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and gain cooperation and assistance of other team members
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends for the delivery of community and engagement and education programs
- Understanding and knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety practices and procedures in the workplace
- A current valid (and ongoing) Victorian Driver’s License, as well as satisfactory (and ongoing) Police and Working with Children checks
