**About the Project**

The Djilang Alliance, comprising McConnell Dowell, Downer, Arup and WSP Australia, has been selected to deliver the South Geelong to Waurn Ponds Rail Duplication project.
- The South Geelong to Waurn Ponds Duplication is part of the Australian and Victorian governments’ more than $1 billion investment in the staged upgrade of the Geelong Line and a critical step in delivering more frequent and reliable services.
- With a completion date targeted for 2024, the project will include:
- duplicating around eight kilometres of track between South Geelong and Waurn Ponds
- rebuilding South Geelong and Marshall stations featuring new station buildings and forecourts, second platforms and accessible pedestrian overpasses
- removal of the level crossings at Fyans Street and Surf Coast Highway and replaced with elevated rail bridges
- signalling upgrades between South Geelong and Waurn Ponds
- more than five kilometres of new shared user paths linking to existing trails and paths and creating a continuous connection between South Geelong and Waurn Ponds.

**About your opportunity**

The Djilang Alliance are seeking Track Supervisors looking for their next opportunity in the South Geelong area.
- As a Supervisor on Djilang Alliance, some of your accountabilities will include:
- Promoting total job safety and environmental awareness to employees, subcontractors and all persons engaged directly or indirectly on the project.
- Emphasising to all employees and subcontractors the key messaging senior management places on embossing a culture of safe work practices and environmental protection.
- Ensuring that hazards are identified, risks assessed, and control measures planned and implemented in consultation with relevant employees.
- Monitoring and reviewing the performance of plant, labour and subcontractors to ensure production targets are met or bettered and take appropriate action as necessary.
- Organise, coordinate and direct construction activities in accordance with construction schedules so as to complete the works on time and within budget whilst constantly ensuring that planning, safety, environmental and quality requirements are met.
- Ensuring all activities are performed in compliance with the requirements of the relevant specifications, codes and standards, which form part of the contract.

**What we’re looking for**
- Trade’s qualification relevant to the construction, building or manufacturing industries.
- Minimum of five years’ experience relevant to the designated project and having previously held a position of Foreman.
- Sound working knowledge of HS&E requirements and implementing of same.
- Strong and proven ability to lead, direct and manage groups of diverse employees.
- Strong and clear communication skills with proven ability to engage others.
- Personal values aligned to McConnell Dowell’s values of safety and care, honesty and integrity, customer focus, teamwork, and performance excellence;
- Have strong commitment to the safety promise of “Home Without Harm”
- Valid Australian working rights
