**About International Universities Climate Alliance (IUCA)**
The International Universities Climate Alliance (IUCA) brings together leading universities across the globe and provides a central hub for its members to share the latest climate research and enable greater collaboration between leading research teams and educators, supporting global leaders, policy makers and industry in planning for and responding to climate change. IUCA facilitates knowledge sharing and best practice approaches allowing our members to establish a global perspective on localised challenges and support global efforts to lower carbon emissions and increase the rate of climate action.
**Why Your Role Matters**
The Project Officer, IUCA within the Strategic Alliances and Initiatives portfolio of the Office of Vice Chancellor & President is responsible for coordinating and supporting the work of the Alliance. The Project Officer will play an important role in project management of initiatives and events and in communication and engagement with stakeholders, including within Faculties and Divisions. The role supports the development and implementation of IUCA’s projects, aimed at raising the University's global profile and impact.
The role of Project Officer, IUCA reports to the Manager, IUCA and has no direct reports.
Please note some out of hours work is required to accommodate time zones of the IUCA global activities.
**Who you are**
- A relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience in project management, or an equivalent level of knowledge on project management methodology gained through any other combination of relevant education, training, or experience.
- Experience in a related field including climate change, marketing, communication, or program management is desirable.
- An understanding of the project life cycle and development of project plans, objectives, and documentation, and demonstrated experience with stakeholder engagement, including planning and communication, tracking and project reporting.
- High level organisational skills and demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads to ensure timely delivery of tasks.
- Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills and knowledge on budgeting and resource allocation procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and sustain effective and collaborative professional relationships with stakeholders.
- Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and demonstrated ability to analyse complex environments and develop detailed recommendations and solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail and ability to present complex materials effectively to a wide range of audiences.
