**_The Role_**: Join our small yet friendly Legal team based in Brisbane, for an outstanding opportunity as a Law Clerk.

You'll play a key role in delivering efficient and effective support to our Legal Counsel and General Counsel, making this ideal for university students in their penultimate or final year, interested in working 2-3 days per week on a casual basis.

Day to day you will be engaging with internal and external stakeholders, with a strong focus on contract review and negotiation. In addition you'll:

- Provide support to Legal Counsel with contract and lease reviews and administration, research, drafting documents
- Update relevant contract documentation / contract mark-ups under the supervision of your manager
- Maintain current knowledge of alterations in legislation
- Assist with and manage other duties and special projects as requested by the Legal or General Counsel
- Work from our offices based in Newstead

**_About you_**: This newly established role is tailored for a university student in the penultimate or final year of their law degree who is looking for 2-3 days per week casual work.
- Australian / NZ Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Currently studying a bachelor’s degree in Law
- Experience in Microsoft Office software
- Strong research skills
- Ability to communicate effectively across various business functions and an aptitude for working with people with diverse backgrounds and personalities at all levels of an organization
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks with accuracy, reliability, and pride in work product, under deadline pressure
- Excellent attention to detail, written and oral communication skills
- High degree of professional ethics and integrity, able to deal with sensitive conversations and information, professionally and confidentially
- High level of administrative competence
- Methodically disciplined to complete all tasks required
- Highly organised with ability to meet deadlines and timeframes under pressure.
