A central agency recruiting an APS5 National Situation Room Team Leader.

**Your new company**
This Australian Government Department plays an important role in managing disasters and monitoring and situational awareness for domestic and international events that affect Australia and Australian interests.

This position is offering a 12-month initial contract, however, works on a shift work basis, the shift work at this time is 2 x 12 hr days on, 2 x 12 hr nights on, 4 days off. Penalty rates are also offered for night shifts.

To be considered for this role you must be an Australian Citizen and obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance at the NV1 level or higher.

**Your new role**
A fast paced and high performing taskforce, delivering supervisor support across multiple teams dependent on the day, whilst providing information and support. This team is responsible for the maintenance, development, and publication of the branch with the contractor’s role to develop profiles to contribute to ongoing improvements within the classification.

Your primary responsibilities are:

- Work as a supervisor across two hotlines
- Assist in training, tasking and support
- Monitor intelligence and information to inform briefs, products, and analysis to decision makers across state and territory departments and agencies
- Produce diagrams, graphs, maps and written reports to information at briefings
- Coordinate stand-up meetings and other administrative duties
- Take calls from members of the public and prepare reports for stakeholders
- Update standard operating procedures and guidelines and engage with branch stakeholders on SOP development
- Review reports and products
