**About the Role**

You will be a Procurement Specialist or Coordinator who is looking to partner with the business in delivering fundamental procurement activities including, but not limited to category and supplier management, procurement planning, sourcing, tendering, contract development, negotiation and award and procurement reporting. This role will primarily be focused on undertaking procurement and contract activities to support the procurement team.

Key Accountabilities:

- Support the Principal Procurement Advisor to deliver procurement activities, including the identification of value opportunities. This includes providing procurement advice and support to the business to promote best practice procurement on all sourcing and contract management activities.
- Perform all procurement activities in accordance with procurement policies, procedures, probity, legal and compliance requirements
- Build and maintain effective and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Undertake research, spend, and market analysis to secure value for money opportunities
- Develop market engagement strategies, prepare RFx procurement documentation, facilitate contract and scope development, undertake evaluations, and prepare recommendation documentation to facilitate contract award
- Negotiate directly with key internal and external stakeholders during the procurement process to achieve the best value for money outcomes
- Contribute to cost reduction opportunities through process improvement, innovation and aggregation of suppliers through establishment of panels and purchasing volume where possible
- Actively contribute to the development of enhanced procurement processes for the purpose of continuous improvement
- Positively promote and actively role model organisational values and behaviours to support the delivery of services
- Support maintenance of procurement and contracts systems and registers
- Support SAP procurement system with workflows as required.

**About You**
- Relevant experience as a procurement advisor, officer, coordinator or specialist.
- Experience in pre-contract sourcing activities and contract formation.
- Experience in the establishment of panel arrangement and management - Desirable
- Data analytics - Desirable
- Experience working with a Government Owned Corporations (GOC)/ Queensland Government and infrastructure environments - Desirable
- Solid understanding of contract terms and formation - Desirable

Demonstrated technical skills in:

- Proficient end to end procurement skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Sound business writing skills
- Highly attuned attention to detail
- Advanced MS Word, excel skills
- Natural appetite for and focus on continuous improvement
- Proficient use of SAP or equivalent financial systems

**The Benefits**

- Contract position to run until end of Dec 2024
- Salary commensurate with experience for a SW06 position.
