**Your new role**

The Information and Health Records Management Officer contracted personnel will be involved in the ongoing management and provision of electronic health records. These positions will undertake the administration of retrieving electronic records; redaction in accordance with privacy laws and the Department’s policy and national legislation; and timely provision of records in an electronic format.

Information and Health Records Management Officers:

- Assess requests, export and post health records in IAW with policy and Health Information Office, Health Records, Standard Operating Procedures.
- Perform information and records management activities in accordance with relevant legislative and Departmental policies and procedures.
- Maintain security classified information material in accordance with the Department’s requirements.
- Understand and implement information and records management policies and procedures for electronic records.
- Maintain currency and integrity of information and record management systems.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively and operate as an effective team member.
- Interpret and comply with legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks.
- Coordinate and when required, supervise the work of others undertaking a range of information and record management activities and tasks.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- The ability to perform information and records management activities in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated understanding of and ability to implement information and records management policies and procedures to electronic records.

Experience with the Objective records management system will be highly regarded. You will need to be an Australian citizen to be eligible for this position and hold or have the ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 clearance or higher.

You will receive an attractive hourly rate and be engaged on an initial 6 month contract with an additional 6 months contract extension option. The Department is located in central Canberra and has free parking.
