- The role will be based at our Borambola Sport and Recreation Centre.
- The role will be a temporary opportunity from 29 July 2024 to 30 June 2026, with the possibility of conversion to an ongoing role.
- This role, is a Part Time opportunity - 96 hours per roster cycle (typically 12 x 8-hour shifts across a 28-day roster period, assigned on a client needs basis).
- Qualified Catering Officers holding a Cookery Trade Certificate or TAFE Commercial Certificate may be assessed at a Level 4 capacity with a base pay of $71,812 per annum, pro rata.

***About the role**:
The Catering Officer / Cook position provides an opportunity to showcase your cooking, and customer service skills in a fun and energetic environment. The lifestyle-friendly hours are rare in the hospitality industry in addition to the generous Office of Sport leave entitlements.

The Catering Officer / Cook is responsible for the preparation and cooking of all meals for the visitors participating in the Centre’s various sport and active recreation programs.

***About you**:
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

- Ability to prepare and cook high quality meals to suit a variety of clients and their dietary requirements.
- Experience undertaking stock control in the kitchen, order, check and monitor goods from suppliers and maintain kitchen equipment and food storage rooms in compliance with hygiene and food handling safety regulations.
- Willingness to work on a rostered basis including weekends (hours generally range between 6am to 2.30pm or 11am to 7:30pm)
