Experience in opening new venues/sites/stores
- Launch & coordinate the various work streams required during the implementation
- Experience working with multiple stakeholder
**About Hub Australia**:
Hub Australia provides premium workspaces, business networks, and services across 10 locations in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra and Adelaide.
Founded and headquartered in Melbourne, Hub has rapidly grown to become the largest privately-owned coworking operator in Australia, with over 100 staff and 3500 members ranging from small business and government to non-profit and corporations.
Established in 2011, Hub is a Certified B-Corporation and the first coworking space in Australia to be certified Carbon Neutral with Climate Active. Hub is a fun, energetic, and dynamic environment with plenty of room for growth - as we continue to build the best place to create, share, and work with others, there’s a perfect place for you to grow with us.
**The purpose of the role**:
New Locations Openings:
- Establish, launch and coordinate the various work streams required during the implementation phase, which will involve Landlord and Hub stakeholders
- Define clear deliverables and milestones based on the commercial terms and partnership structure for each location
- Fully understand the commercial terms and partnership structure for all new sites, put in place rigorous landlord reporting regimes from the date commercial terms are agreed
- Coordinate end-to-end New Clubhouse Openings (NCOs) within Hub, liaising with all key stakeholders to allocate tasks, follow up actions, and ensure the smooth progress of NCOs.
- Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure the successful implementation of NCOs
- Engage with key stakeholders in the Property, Customer Experience, Product, Tech and Operations teams to ensure everyone works collaboratively cross-departmentally
Business Readiness and Process Improvement:
- Work with each of the Hub internal departments, and the Hub Exec team as required, to ensure successful implementation of the new locations and landlord partnerships into our day-to-day operations. This will include specifically working on the technology, processes, capacity and capability of our team to continue to deliver excellence to new customers and markets;
- There will need to be a significant focus on innovation in refining and improving internal processes and systems for implementation as our product offering changes and we work with landlords.
- Work with the leadership team and organisation at large to ensure that we do not duplicate resources (and costs), and that we continuously add value to both established and emerging businesses;
- In the course of establishing business readiness, identify new technologies, processes and data, and ensure these are shared and implemented with the rest of the organisation.
- Provide very clear handover documentation to the operations teams to ensure all site operational aspects are clearly understood by the Hub teams and are in line with the Landlord's deliverables. The reporting regime for our landlord partners, relationship management, and ongoing resolution of the inevitable challenges that will arise are critical success factors.
**Required experience**:
- Leadership experience in operational setup for a network of physical spaces, e.g. hotels, retail stores or food & beverage. For clarity, we are not looking for the project manager of the build and fit-out, we are looking for the operations person.
- 10 + years of experience within operations in a growing business;
- Experience in commercial real estate, hospitality or retail highly regarded;
- Experience with joint venture partnerships would be beneficial, but not essential;
- A sound understanding of hybrid and flexible working practices;
- Understanding of change management across a multi-disciplinary business, and the role that technology can play in facilitating constant improvement;
- The ability to project manage internal and external stakeholders through to the completion of the implementation
- Excellence in collaboration, stakeholder management, and working across departments to get buy-in to changes in business-as-usual, navigate or break-through silos, and take ‘people on the journey;
- Impeccable communication skills; clear, concise, unambiguous, satisfactory, and fulfilling;
- Proven experience developing and executing business strategies;
- Tertiary qualifications at the bachelor and postgraduate levels.
**What you’ll be rewarded with**:
- Being a key member of an energetic, dynamic, and fun team who stands for more than their bottom line
- Working among the best organisations in Australia as a certified Great Place to Work
- Being part of a B Corp and certified carbon neutral company with a vision and plan to use Hub Australia as a force for social and environmental good, and to make a difference in the world
- A personalised training and professional development program t
