**About the role**:
As a Speech Pathologist Student Supervisor, you will be responsible for the management and supervision of a final year, student-led therapy clinic.

This opportunity is initially for a 12-week fixed term contract from September 2023 - November 2023, with the possibility of ongoing, permanent employment for the right person.

Our multi-disciplinary team in Hobart provides lifespan services to clients of all ages. We can offer diverse and interesting caseloads for each student, ensuring their clinical placement provides them with the practical experience, training and resources to successfully meet the requirements of their practicum placement and prepare them for the workforce.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Orienting Speech pathology students to the Early Start Australia (ESA) therapy journey
- Supervision and clinical oversight for all clients accessing the student led clinics including:

- completing joint assessments
- goal setting and therapy service planning
- session planning and debrief
- review and co-sign of reports and clinical documentation
- Ensuring services are provided in alignment with the SPA and ESA codes of practice
- Adhering to the Therapy Services plan and funding agreement
- Completion of student goal setting and reviews, in alignment with University requirements

**Essential Criteria**:

- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Speech Pathology
- Experience working with the NDIS
- Experience or ability to seek additional training in student or graduate supervision
- Able to be based at the Hobart clinic
- Working with Vulnerable People check
- NDIS workers screening check
- National Police Clearance
- Membership with Speech Pathology Australia

**Desirable Criteria**:

- Experience working across the lifespan
- Understanding of aged care / home care package funding schemes
