**About the Role**:
As the organisation embarks on the selection and implementation of an integrated HCMS which will include the payroll functionality, we are on the lookout for a highly skilled professional with a robust background in payroll processing and implementation of payroll solutions to lead the implementation of our new payroll system. In this pivotal role, you will ensure compliance, enhance efficiency, and streamline payroll processes.
**Key Responsibilities include**:
- Lead the implementation and transition of the payroll system
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including People and Culture, IT and Finance to ensure seamless integration of the payroll system with other operational processes and as part of business as usual
- Being proactive in continuous improvement and providing suggestions for improving policies and procedures to enhance staff and internal clients experience in dealing with payroll enquiries.
- Ensure payroll activities are conducted in strict compliance with relevant legislation, awards and agreements
- Provide advice, coaching and mentorship to internal clients and staff in relation to payroll matters
**About You**:
You are a highly organised and experienced Payroll Manager who has worked in large complex organisations and led a small payroll team effectively on a day-to-day basis and through periods of change.
You are experienced in medium to large scale payroll/HR systems including time and attendance and have technical understanding of how to implement best practice through a well configured payroll system.
As a senior manager you have strong interpersonal and communication skills that enable you to build effective relationships across the organisation. You are proactive operator who is focused on continuous improvement of processes, policies and systems. You lead by example and set high standards with a customer centric approach to your problem solving and interactions with your internal and external clients.
**More specifically you will have**:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline of Accounting, Finance, Economics, Human Resources
- Strong computer literacy (MS Word, Excel) coupled with sound written and communication skills
- Demonstrate your ability to embrace the mission and ethos of the St Vincent De Paul Society and ensure that our values are embraced in all aspects of performing your role.
