**MVR Retailers Pty Ltd** is one of the leading companies in mobile phone accessories and repairs operating the business under the names “Mobile Experts” and “The Mobile Company,” boasting over 55 stores across Australia, including Sydney, Newcastle, Brisbane, Melbourne, Gold Coast, Adelaide, Canberra, and Perth. We are currently seeking an experienced **Accounts Payable**/**Payroll Officer** to join our growing team.
As a **Accounts Payable/Payroll Officer**, you will be responsible for overseeing key payroll and accounts payable functions, ensuring the smooth and compliant operation of our financial processes. You will have a hands-on role in employee onboarding, payroll processing, supplier payments, and financial reconciliation tasks.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Accounts Payable (3 days/week)**:
- Recording and processing supplier invoices in our ERP system (LS Central)
- Making regular supplier payments, including weekly and monthly schedules
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
- Assisting with month-end closing and journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.
**Payroll (2 days/week)**:
- Conducting employee onboarding and maintaining payroll records
- Processing weekly pay runs for all employees
- Ensuring timely lodging of payroll tax, superannuation, and other statutory filings
- Handling payroll-related queries and ensuring compliance with tax and employment laws
**To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Have**:
- Previous experience in payroll processing and accounts payable in Australia
- Familiarity with ERP systems (experience with **LS Central** is a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, especially with numbers
- A proactive approach with a natural curiosity to improve processes
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and communicate effectively with all staff
- High-level numeracy skills and a commitment to maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.

- Familiarity with financial software and systems (e.g., **LS Central**, **MYOB**)
- Strong Excel skills (including formulas, pivot tables, and V-Lookup).
