**The Opportunity**

Come and discover the opportunity to join our Orrcon Steel team as a **Purchasing Officer** based in **O’Sullivan Beach SA**. Orrcon Steel is a manufacturer of steel tube and pipe and leading Australian steel distributor with nationally recognised brands.

You will play an integral role in co-ordinating and supporting purchasing and inventory management activities to support both your colleagues and our valued customers. You will establish and maintain mutually successful relationships with internal teams and vendors, supporting the business to maintain a cost competitive position. You’ll have the opportunity to showcase your agility and superior customer service skills and collaborate across functions.

**What Will You Do?**

Being in a dynamic environment, your motivation and ability to think on your feet will ensure we deliver a valued service for our customers. You will:

- maintain the store-system for consumable stock items, ensuring stock accuracy
- analyse store replenishment requirements regarding trends and safety stock holdings, place orders as required, and handle invoice issues/queries as they arise
- assist the site leadership team with sourcing and purchasing of non-stocked items
- create departmentalised monthly stock usage reports
- work with finance for new supplier and contractor system set up
- monitor the quality of supplier service through vendor ratings
- maintain site service contracts as required
- resolve issues efficiently and effectively to ensure a positive customer experience
- provide support to the storeperson role as required
