**The Role**
The role will involve:

- Providing operational and strategic corporate support to managers and employees.
- Managing the team’s group mailbox, allocating/escalating workload and seeking advice where necessary.
- Coordinating a range of strategic Human Resource management functions including coordinating recruitment and onboarding, learning and development activities and staff events.
- Managing procurement, financial services (including budget management) and facility/resource management in accordance with departmental policy and delegate authority.
- Supporting communications including drafting briefs, recommendations and contributing to the development of operational procedures and business improvement.
- Supporting the delivery of key projects aligned with business and work plans.
- Maintaining timely, consistent, and accurate records including budget management tools, SharePoint site document libraries and news items.

**Skills and Capabilities**
We are seeking a versatile and dynamic individual with the following skills and capabilities:

- Experience and/or transferrable skills in a similar role to quickly adapt and work independently with mínimal guidance.
- Strong leadership to effectively manage projects and give direction to staff across multiple teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to provide evidence-based advice and influence decisions.
- Strong interpersonal skills, discretion, and sound judgment when handling sensitive matters.

**The Opportunity**
This position is available to Ongoing Department of Employment and Workplace Relations and APS employees as a temporary transfer at level or a temporary performance (Acting) opportunity for a period of 10-12 months.
