About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for people who are enthusiastic and organised, with experience in administrative and customer service roles, who would like the flexibility and variety that working in a casual ward clerk position provides.

Working across Eastern Health, you will enjoy working across a variety of wards where you will be responsible for the provision of clerical and administrative functions. You will find yourself working across a range of specialties, from emergency departments, paediatric, acute medical and surgical, and other speciality areas.

When you join Eastern Health as a casual ward clerk you will be supported to find your feet. You will work within friendly, diverse multi-disciplinary teams of nursing, medical, allied health and other administrative staff. We will provide as much lead time as possible to offer morning, afternoon and night duty shifts that match your availability.

About you

You are enthusiastic, flexible, and keen to jump in and help out. To be successful in this role you will require the following:
Exceptional interpersonal, communication skills

The ability to self-motivate, multi-task, prioritise and work in dynamic environments

Extensive experience in an administrative support role, preferably in a hospital or health service environment

High level organisational skills with effective time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks

Demonstrated initiative and attention to detail

Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times

Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently and as part of the team as required

Well-developed planning and organisational skills with an ability to efficiently manage time, work priorities and competing demands
