**About the role**:

- The provision of leadership and management of the Social Work and Aboriginal Liaison teams at Joondalup Health Campus
- Social Work coordination and management across all clinical areas including medical, surgical, mental health, maternity, aged care, paediatrics, palliative care, oncology, stoke services, critical care, subacute care and emergency medicine
- Consultation, strategic and operational planning for NDIS, ACAT and high risk patient service delivery

**About you**:
To be successful in this role, you will be have the following attributes
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
- Understanding of social work ethics in practice
- Team development, operational and strategic planning experience
- Collaborative and inclusive work practice knowledge
- Skills in community engagement, networking and multidisciplinary teamwork
- Knowledge of budgetary models, service development and business planning
- Expertise in strategic planning, policy writing and change management principles

**Essential**:

- Tertiary qualification in Social Work and eligibility for full membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers
- Demonstrated advanced clinical social work skills across multiple practice areas
- Demonstrated skills in managing a social work team, including recruitment, succession planning, development of clinical supervisory structures, performance management and conflict resolution
- Demonstrated ability to provide effective leadership within a multidisciplinary context
- Experience and demonstrated understanding of Quality Improvement programs
- Knowledge of legislation, programs, frameworks and service models including those relevant to mental health, Aboriginal health, disability, child protection, family and domestic violence, elder abuse, aged care and the veteran community
- Current knowledge of legislative obligations for Equal Opportunity, Privacy, Disability Services and Occupational Safety and Health, and how these impact on employment and service delivery

**Desirables**:

- Post
- graduation qualifications in health management
- Previous experience in a public health setting or within a public private partnership
- Line management experience in an Aboriginal Health environment
- Accredited Mental Health social work experience
- Project management experience

**Remuneration**: Salary commensurate with experience.
