**Manager - Transport & Infrastructure, NSW**

Reporting to our Australian Transport & Infrastructure General Manager, we are looking for someone to lead our Transport & Infrastructure business in Sydney, NSW. If you are a strong leader looking for broader responsibility or greater autonomy and have a passion for engaging with people and building high-performing teams this is a very exciting opportunity.

In this role you will be managing a team of around 40 engineers and project managers involved in transport and infrastructure projects, from feasibility stage through detailed design to construction. The team is currently working on projects across roads, drainage, transport planning and modelling, transport advisory, rail infrastructure, civil infrastructure, geotechnical, bridges, civil structures, maritime and ports.

As Section Manager, you will be accountable for the operational success and growth of our Sydney team, which is playing an increasing role in delivering on Beca’s purpose to make everyday better for the people of the city and the State of New South Wales.

In this role you are primarily responsible for:

- Setting expectations for and demonstrating excellence in technical delivery, client service, innovation and commercial management across the Section
- Leading the development of a constructive, collaborative team culture
- Developing, implementing and monitoring Section-specific strategy and business plans to drive business performance
- Collaborating with our Market Leaders and Client Relationship Managers to win work
- Engaging and collaborating with other Section Managers to secure and share work to control productivity and business performance
- Recruiting, retaining and developing talented people
- Working with your colleagues in the Transport & Infrastructure AU leadership group (Section Managers, Market Leaders and Business Partners) and across Beca to achieve strategic goals and development ambitions
- Supporting the Australian General Manager in the overall leadership of the Transport & Infrastructure business in Australia
- Occasional travel within Australia and New Zealand.

This role forms part of the global Transport & Infrastructure leadership group and is the conduit between local team matters and the wider business. You will be working amongst a group of highly motivated and constructive professionals who provide an open and supportive culture that values the skills that you can contribute.
