**About the Role**
The Technical Manager, Corporate Events will be responsible for the production requirements of corporate event services across the entire arts precinct. This role will manage and lead the team to deliver on the high standard of excellence for which Arts Centre Melbourne is renowned.
**Full-Time, ongoing position. Band 4.1 $94,297 plus 10% superannuation.**
**On a day-to-day basis you will**:

- Manage the delivery of all function and event activities in accordance with WH&S and Arts Centre Melbourne guidelines
- Prepare and review risk assessments for production and events in consultation with wider Production team
- Build and develop the team of technicians with proactive engagement in PDP discussions and review
- Manage and supervise all technical event requests from external clients and internal stakeholders
- Maintain financial control and ensure monthly operating costs are within budget

**Your Skills and Experience**
- Extensive experience in event production and a working knowledge of all aspects of production disciplines
- Strong service ethic and understanding of client requirements
- Conflict resolution skills across multiple stakeholders. Ability to manage performance & staff issues, including performance planning and development
- Adept at working under pressure and managing competing stakeholder needs in an outcomes-focused environment
- Extensive experience in commercial event delivery
- Knowledge & experience in the use of the AV equipment, lighting systems, audio systems and staging systems
- Capability to manage budgets, develop cost estimates and reconcile post event settlement details
- Knowledge of current OH&S practices, relevant legislation and Arts Centre Melbourne policies.

The Production team are part of the Performing Arts Pillar and responsible for delivering production services and creative support for ACM across Staging, Lighting, Sound & Vision, Broadcast & Digital, Corporate Events, Wardrobe, Stage Management, Production Management and Training Services to enable the safe and efficient delivery of performances and events throughout our venues.
