We are seeking a Student Welfare Worker to work with the school leadership team on enhancing student, parent, and staff wellbeing. You will work with the leadership team to empower young people to utilise their gifts and talents and provide a positive role model for healthy interactions.
Duties include:
- Providing support to students,
- Providing support to families,
- Providing support to all staff,
- Creating opportunities for students to work on positive relationships, and
- In accordance with school-approved protocols and processes, promote positive partnerships within and beyond the school community.
To be successful in this role you will:

- Be open-minded, sensitive, have good judgement and display well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.

As a Student Welfare Worker, you are recognised by:
- The local school, its community and BCE as having the skills, experience and qualifications to deliver school chaplaincy to the school and its community, and
- By the faith-based community through one or more of the following:
- formal ordination, commissioning, recognised religious qualifications, or endorsement by a recognised or accepted religious institution.
To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:
- hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
- be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
- have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
