**About the role**
We are seeking a
** student welfare worker** to fulfil a part-time fixed term contract for 2024. The student welfare worker will provide
**social, emotional and spiritual support **reflecting the specific needs of the students attending the school as well as providing support for a range of day-to-day matters affecting the College community.
**The successful applicant will have the ability to**:
- Communicate effectively with a diverse group of people.
- Support the Catholic ethos of the school.
- A sound knowledge of student welfare.
- Proven capacity to work with students and young adults.
- Provide friendly, efficient service to all stakeholders.
- Strong organisational ability.
- Effective administration skills including sound digital literacy and spreadsheet skills.
- Work diligently and quickly to support students.
- Able to work in a rapidly changing environment.
**To be eligible to be considered for this role you will**:
- hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
- be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
- have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.

**Salary level, range or hourly rate**:School Officer Level 4 - Full time hourly rate commencing at $34.86 per hour ($28.16 if annualised)
