**APS 5 - Coordinator, Special Collections (APS Mobility Opportunity)**:

- Mobility opportunity open to ongoing National Library of Australia/APS employees only
- Non-ongoing opportunity from late April to end of October 2024
- Be a member of a team responsible for the Library’s special collections, Asian language collections and family history reference and research support services

The Library is seeking to fill a non-ongoing **APS 5 Coordinator, Special Collections** role in the Reader Services section of the Engagement Branch. This role is available from late April until 31 October 2024 and offers suitable applicants the experience of to work at one of Australia’s leading cultural institutions.

**The Role**
This role is critical to delivery of high-quality and client-centered reference services. Responsibilities include:

- Leading the delivery of reference and research services, and providing expertise and technical knowledge, related to special collections primarily of pictures, manuscripts, maps and oral history formats.
- Setting priorities for the work area, monitoring and maintaining quality of service, leading and coaching staff responsible for these services.
- Liaising with stakeholders across a range of reference-focused programs, activities and systems.
- Contributing ideas and participating in the implementation of service improvement initiatives.
- Administering the Petherick Reader program.
- Supporting the NLA Fellowships program and use of collections.
