**Join the NAPLAN Writing Marker Team for 2024**

The Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) is recruiting dedicated individuals to become expert markers for the 2024 NAPLAN Writing test.

This position is available to applicants based in Victoria and Tasmania.

*Please note the hourly rate quoted in this advertisement is for training only. Payment for marking itself is a script based rate ($5.35 per script marked)

**Training and Marking**:

- Comprehensive training modules provided by ACARA and online workshops.
- Home-based marking using an online platform.
- Marking begins on March 18, 2024, and continues until April 26, 2024.
- Continuous support and guidance provided by Group Leaders and Professional Leaders.

**Work Commitment**:

- Markers are expected to work and to be available for marking **six **days a week.
- You can choose to be either a Day or Evening shift marker based on your preference and availability.
- **Day markers**: commit to a minimum of four continuous hours per day shift (8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Mon-Fri, plus 8:30am - 5pm weekends).
- **Evening markers**: commit to a minimum of three continuous hours per evening shift (3:30 PM to 10:00 PM, Mon-Fri, plus 8:30am - 5pm weekends).

**Requirements**:

- Teaching experience or suitable qualifications in English/Humanities (primary or secondary level acceptable)
- Commitment to marking for approximately five weeks.
- Reliable computer with internet access.
- Maintain script marking accuracy based on NAPLAN criteria and standards.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of assessment materials.

**Conditions**:
