**This organisation in the government sector is currently seeking talented and motivated individuals to join their team in a variety of exciting roles. They are looking for an experienced **Senior Procurement Officer** - **who will be responsible for engaging with management and staff to manage a contemporary and effective compliance program, with accountability for overseeing and providing investigations and providing objective advice in relation to statutory and regulatory compliance obligations.**

**The key responsibilities of the role are**:

- Support managers to identify, implement and monitor compliance and assurance controls and, where required, direct identified compliance issues to appropriate channels for resolution.
- Manage the operations supporting the compliance program, ensuring compliance data is current
- Investigate and coordinate the information required to report on compliance matters
- Effectively analyse and monitor compliance data and manage the escalation of compliance issues and performance, as required, and providing recommendations for rectification strategies.
- Educate and communicate regularly with staff and suppliers about their responsibility to meet the compliance obligations applicable to Queensland Government, as well as monitoring and communicating any changes to these compliance requirements and promoting the expectation they use the established compliance practices, procedures, and tools.
- As the compliance management specialist for the Building, Construction and Maintenance Category, encourage, develop, and support improvements to compliance practices and processes.
- Actively contribute to maintaining a safe workplace that values the health and safety of co-workers, clients, and visitors.
- Actively contribute to developing and maintaining a culture where staff are vigilant to risks to themselves, their co-workers, clients, and visitors (including health and safety, business, and operational risks
