**Your new role**:
We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled community or strategic planner to join our Community Access and Support Team. As our new Coordinator Healthy Ageing Planning and Growth you will make a difference daily by providing:

- leadership in strategic planning and growth for Council’s provision of services within the Community Access & Support department and other programs that support people who are vulnerable or with a disability, seniors, and youth, within the Knox community;
- coordination of strategic planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of Department actions in Council’s Plan, Child Youth and Seniors Plan, CA&S Business Plan and other plans as deemed relevant to CA&S, commitments and outcomes relevant to people who are vulnerable or with a disability, seniors, and youth;
- supporting data collection and collation, analysis and interpretation, and the provision of advice to inform Council’s response to emerging policy, funding and legislative changes linked to the cohorts detailed above;
- coordinating grant funding for the department through grant identification, readiness assessment, development, submission, and reflection activities.

You will report directly to the Manager Community Access and Support and lead a small, dedicated team.

This is a Band 7 classified role, remuneration will be $100,461 - $112,669 (depending on experience) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.

**What you will need to thrive**:
The key selection criteria for this role are:

- Demonstrated understanding and experience of the disability, seniors and youth service systems with an emphasis in community settings and operational issues in a local government context;
- Demonstrated understanding of relevant sector reform initiatives in Local, State and Commonwealth Governments;
- Strong and demonstrated commitment to and ability in building relationships and working on a collaborative basis with both internal and external stakeholders;
- Strong commitment to excellence, with a practical and results focused approach and a proven ability to steer, manage and implement change in a complex and political environment;
- Ability to prioritise work, develop standards and benchmarks and achieve results within timelines;
- Well-developed analytical, strategic planning, research, policy development, report writing, project management and financial management skills;
- Ability to develop, implement and monitor budgets, resources and operational plans for area of responsibility.
