**Job Description**:
The Position

The Commissioning Team Leader reports to the Commissioning Manager, Major Projects and is responsible for the development and execution of all commissioning activities, from construction completion, through commissioning execution and handover to Operations for Sustaining Capital Projects. The Commissioning Team Leader is also responsible for working with Operations to align on a ramp-up plans which will be led by Operations and supported by the Commissioning team.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to Albemarle safety Standards throughout commissioning activities.
- Support development and improvement of the safety culture of the Kemerton plant, with the new systems developed, to contractors and vendors with the goal of zero harm.
- Work collaboratively with both the Albemarle Project and Operation teams
- Responsible for managing the commissioning budget of Sustaining capital projects.
- Contribute to the development of the integrated Project schedules.
- Provide input of commissioning considerations into technical alternatives and ensure resolution of issues relating to operability and maintainability.
- Supply operating, commissioning, and start-up requirements for the cost estimate
- Participate in HAZOP’s and assist in the resolution of assigned HAZOP items.
- Responsible for development and execution of the following:

- Commissioning System definition
- Systems turnover sequencing for Project master schedule
- Commissioning schedules
- Commissioning procedures for the Project
- Assist with identifying requirement for the commissioning staffing plan and coordinate hiring of additional personnel if needed.
- Review technical options to assess SHE aspects, including compliance with all regulatory, environmental, health, safety, and community requirement.
- Lead in Management of Change (MOC) preparation and execution during commissioning.
- Review equipment specifications and selections for commissioning, operability and maintainability requirements
- Assist in setting the site safety, health, and environmental (SHE) requirements for the commissioning.
- Assist in developing and managing the Tie-in and Blinding List
- Participate in equipment criticality reviews and assist in development of commissioning spare parts requirements and recommendations for new and modified equipment.
- Contribute to "punch listing" of all Project facilities during final stage of project implementations (construction) through commissioning.
- Lead the safety walkthroughs and in the completion of the pre-start-up safety review (PSSR)
- Coordinate sign off for care, custody, and transfer (CCT) from Construction to Commissioning, and again for Commissioning to Operations
- Advise material needs for commissioning.
- Participate in final HAZOP immediately prior to start-up.
- Assist in environmental compliance testing.
- Identify any Project deficiencies for Project team correction.
- Support Operations Team in the execution of design performance testing
- Provide performance feedback, coaching and mentoring and ensure team development to optimise performance and commitment employees.

- Experience in commissioning of greenfield and brown field project site
- Experience with construction, commissioning and operation activities
- Experience in leadership, safety management, and team building
- Experience in continuous process and materials handling facilities
