**School of Health and Medical Sciences**
UniSQ’s School of Health and Medical Sciences is dedicated to providing educational opportunities to enable individuals to meet current and future needs associated with shaping, promoting and maintaining a healthy society. Programs delivered by the School include biomedical sciences, medical laboratory science, sports and exercise, clinical exercise physiology, paramedicine, public health, occupational therapy, speech pathology, physiotherapy and strength and conditioning. The strength of each program is that content is evidenced-based, practice-focused and designed to appeal to people of all ages, cultures and societies.
**What you’ll do**
As a Lecturer (Biomedical Sciences) you will play a vital role in the ongoing development of the University’s offerings in Biomedical Sciences, particularly in the areas of Microbiology and Human Pathophysiology, in our Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences and other health sciences programs and internal and external accreditation.
**About you**
To succeed in this role, you will possess the following:
- a Doctoral degree in Biomedical Sciences or significant progress towards gaining a PhD in Biomedical Sciences.
- a record of demonstrable scholarly and professional achievement in Biomedical Sciences, particularly in the areas of Microbiology and Human Pathophysiology and experience in program design and curriculum development at a university level.
- demonstrated teaching in Microbiology and Human Pathophysiology and research expertise in a relevant discipline of Biomedical Sciences.
- evidence of research strategy and research leadership, relative to opportunity, and an emerging research track record, including high-quality publications, external funding or other relevant applied research outcomes.
We are particularly interested in those who have a versatile background and record of scholarly accomplishment and engagement in external modes of delivery, Indigenous, regional, rural and remote health, and interprofessional education. You will have experience teaching in both science and allied health programs such as Paramedicine, Nursing, Speech Pathology and Sport and Exercise Science.
