**About the role**:
This is a fantastic time to be joining Suncorp as the industry goes through significant change. This role’s focus is on the delivery of Reinsurance changes for Commercial Insurance, so your previous experience in the Insurance industry will be invaluable to understanding the nuances involved. You will be responsible for two squads within the Tribe and must have evidence of exceling at stakeholder engagement.

To be successful in this role you will have solid experience working across end-to-end delivery, where there are often changes, ambiguity and moving parts.

As a Scrum Master at Suncorp, you will be part of our Centre of Excellence, sharing thought leadership with other Scrum Master professionals, working for one of Australia’s leading insurers. You will work across the business, working on PDS drafting, system changes, document changes and managing the stakeholder approval process.

**What you’ll do**:

- Delivery of Reinsurance changes, working across the business (PDS drafting, System Changes, Docs Changes, Stakeholder approval process).
- Work with Scrum Masters / Platform Delivery Leads to sequence work and manage dependencies across Squads; manage flow, sequencing, slicing and velocity of work within the squads.
- Work with Product Owners to manage and prioritise work through the backlog, driving removal of impediments and ensuring work is tracked and progressing and that there is an appropriate balance across Squad members
- Monitor Squad performance and identify opportunities for improvement, ensure the squad is compliant with appropriate governance and practices
- Perform Squad level reporting and manage RAID
- Communicate and embody the Momentum mindset
- Coach Squad to optimise delivery via Momentum processes and practices and develop relationships that assist the Squad in achieving its outcomes.

**What you’ll bring**:

- Minimum of 3 years’ Scrum Master experience and hold the Scrum Master Certification
- Must have previous experience working in the Insurance industry
- Experience working across an end-to-end delivery which has a few moving parts and dependencies (Business and Tech).
- Experience using Agile in a large complex environment, with a deep understanding of the core principles of agile methodology
- Evidence of coaching and mentoring others
- Strong delivery skills and ability to clearly define project objectives and benefits
- Ability to deal with ambiguity
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and ability to develop trust and credibility with executive level through to the squad.
