**About the role**

Reporting to the Field Sales Manager, our Field Sales Representatives are responsible for creating and building face to face relationships with prospective and existing residential customers, selling Solar PV and batteries, as well as providing lead generation for our Retail, LPG and C&I teams.

Based in Brisbane, the role has a state focus and will be assigned territories to manage. Field Sales campaigns are generally conducted between the hours of 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday, however flexibility is required to make after hours appointments.

**Duties**
- Promoting Origin Energy products and services to potential and existing customers whilst adhering to campaign specific productivity benchmarks, including customer appointments, data capture requirements, work time and sales / referrals conversion rates.
- Maintain data integrity of customer information through the sales process, providing detail for all call interaction outcomes and competitor insights by accurately entering data into Salesforce.
- Build sales pipeline and follow up with customer to close sale.
- Maintain a level of professionalism and follow HSE protocols in the field whilst representing Origin.

**Skills & experience**

You’ll need to be driven, energetic and entrepreneurial, with a proven ability to be self-motivated and build successful customer relationships. Your tenacity, resilience and persistence will be evident in both your work ethic and sales approach.
- Experience in face to face sales, preferably within the energy sector
- Highly developed sales, negotiation, influencing and objection management skills. Including acute awareness of buying signals & customer behavioural styles to match the needs of the customer to the campaign
- Ability to operate in a commercially focused environment that requires ongoing learning of the energy market, regulations, organisational capability as it applies to sales & service. The energy market is highly competitive with significant customer churn coupled with product and pricing complexity.
- Understand the strategic sales and marketing initiatives to ensure further retains, acquisitions and cross-sell of our products and services.
- Knowledge of SAP, Salesforce, Nearmaps & Origin Tariffs (SME, C&I) is advantageous
