**The role**:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic **Head of Supply Chain** to join our team at Garden Island, Sydney. As the Head of Supply Chain, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the national maritime sustainment and ship repair services performed by Thales Australia’s Above Water Systems (AWS) team, ensuring that contractual commitments are met while enhancing customer satisfaction. You will lead the functional areas of demand planning, supply planning, procurement, logistics warehousing and distribution. Your responsibilities will encompass professionalism, team development and continuous improvement assuring optimal time, cost, and quality outcomes, adhering to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards and ensuring business continuity.

Responsibilities will include:

- Enabling the AWS national operating model as head of function for Supply Chain
- Ensuring Supply Chain resource capability and capacity meets business requirements
- Leading business process associated with Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
- Leading the strategic development of supply chain businesses including logistics, procurement, warehousing, distribution and planning
- Supporting the end-to-end implementation of Lean processes enhancing operational efficiency
- Leading the planning processes for procurement needs through the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
- Ensuring best practices in planning and implementation
- Managing supplier performance
- Nurturing and maintaining relations with internal stakeholders, suppliers and customers
- Ensuring customer satisfaction through consistently meeting on-time delivery
- Leading ongoing improvements through redefining and upgrading the supply chain architecture
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements for incoming and outgoing workflows
- Optimising just-in-time systems with suppliers
- Developing team skills, identifying development needs and implementing development activities
- Ensuring a safe and compliant work environment

**How about you?**
- Experienced in leading Sales & Operations Planning
- Certified in Planning & Inventory Management (CPIM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
- Knowledge of heavy industry repair workflows and processes
- Knowledge of industrial management control and multi-year budgeting processes
- Extensive knowledge of supply chain processes and workflows within industrial environments
- Extensive knowledge of inventory management and flow management methodologies
- Lead the implementation of continuous improvement and proficient with associated methodologies (Lean, PDCA)
- Proficiency in industrial/supply chain IT systems and performance measures (KPI’s)
- Working understanding of ERP systems
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Safety driven with a working knowledge of relevant workplace health & safety requirements
