**The opportunity**

We have an exciting opportunity for an Instructional Designer to join our Knowledge and Learning team in the Sydney Coordinated Adaptive Traffic System (SCATS) branch. This role is a fixed-term full time role until 30th June 2024.

Reporting to the Customer Support Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing, designing and developing engaging content for interesting and diverse learning and knowledge initiatives using a variety of creation tools and digital platforms. What you will be involved in
- Consulting with team members and stakeholders to understand context and requirements
- Determining appropriate and effective learning solutions
- Navigating complex and detailed technical information and translating into effective learning
- Reviewing existing content and refreshing/reworking to suit online delivery to a worldwide audience
- Designing and developing for an online learning environment, e.g. online assets, content, courses and assessments; webinars; eLearning, and quick reference guides
- Conducting content testing, user acceptance testing, reviewing and updating content and resources accordingly
- Maintaining quality assurance, including SCATS branding.

**About you**

The skills and experience we are looking will include:

- You’re an experienced, flexible Instructional Designer and something of a learning expert.
- You use adult learning principles to develop effective learning solutions and an engaging learning experience that shifts knowledge, skill, and behaviour.
- You’re great at working with SMEs and complex content in a technical or engineering environment.
- You can create end-to-end programs and solutions, including structure, delivery and review plans.
- You have experience in developing digital content and working with learning management systems.
- You work really well on your own, and you love being part of a team.
- You’re an accomplished relationship builder and influencer who can partner with internal and external stakeholders to get the best outcomes.
- You’re proud of your exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- You thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- You have excellent attention to detail, the ability to self-edit and meet critical deadlines
- Qualifications that are desirable are:

- Certificate IV in TAE 40116 (Training and Assessment)
- An appropriate tertiary qualification, e.g. Training Design and Development, Instructional Design, Content Production, or similar

**Salary and Benefits**

The salary for this position is TfNSW Grade 8 ($123,470.00 - $138,284.00) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.??
