**In this role you will**
As a Transport Supervisor at DHL, you'll overcome daily logístical challenges to ensure operations run smoothly. In a fast-paced environment, where every day is different, you'll have the autonomy to make decisions and be able to continually grow professionally. Use your talents to organisational success, and drive the future of logistics, using the latest technology.
- Be the main contact between customer, carriers, dispatch points and planning teams, facilitating relationships that yield continuous improvement.
- Work with our operations and planning teams to monitor information and priorities, ensuring the correct scheduling of containers for distribution on our transport solution based networks.
- Execute transport plans at a national level and effectively monitor performance, identifying any opportunities for improvement.
- Work closely with our internal stakeholders including our transport, sales, finance and warehouse teams to coordinate the most efficient and cost-effective delivery schedules for our customers.
- Support the Linehaul Manager with the coordination and overseeing day to day movements of vehicles to ensure all operations are executed on time and safely.
- Ensuring maximum productivity is achieved through dedicated and informed planning.
- Effective management of shipments and linehauls to ensure DIFOT and KPI’s are acheived
- Take reasonable and practicable actions to verify and ensure activities comply with relevant legislation, and company policies, procedures, safe working method standards and rules.
- Initiate incident reports and service failure reports as required.
- Participate in Risk Assessments, inspections and operational meetings as required.
- Maintain operations logs, prepare, and issue shift operations reports, billing, consignments and SOPs.

**You have the following qualities & qualifications**:

- A proactive approach in building constructive and effective relationships.
- An aptitude in data analysis and a proactive approach to adopting and utilizing new technologies.
- A strong customer focus and the ability to deal with ambiguity and change.
- High attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
- A continuous drive in improving procedures and process.
- A commitment to your own safety and wellbeing while caring for others.
- Relevant experience in daily operations, especially freight and or commodity-based transport solutions of muti mode.
- 2-3 years previous experience in Transport, Warehousing, sea freight and or rail operations desirable.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with customers and all levels of management within the business.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel).
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
