**The Division**

The Customer Strategy and Technology team within Transport leads the development of long-term, multi-modal strategies, plans and policies across NSW. We leverage data and insights, implement new technologies, drive innovation, and build partnerships to provide customer-centred solutions.

**The opportunity**

This role leads the strategy and engagement function in the Future Mobility team. It develops expertise in Future Mobility Technology and partnering with industry and internal customers to identify the Future Mobility transition pathways. The role helps TfNSW deliver better outcomes for Transport customers through the development of projects, plans, business cases and other strategic pieces of work. The role works closely with stakeholders across Transport to understand customer and business outcomes while also forming strong relationships with industry to ensure that TfNSW is considering the latest technology developments and trends and leads a small team to deliver strategic projects.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Engage with Transport stakeholders, to drive customer outcomes through innovation and enabling technology.
- Build strong effective working relationships with business representatives to understand business priorities, build credibility and influence investment choices.
- Lead strategic pieces of work to identify the role of technology in delivering customer outcomes and collaborate on the design and development of strategies, feasibility studies, business cases, trials and pilots that will help realise the benefits of new technology.
- Form and lead cross-functional, multi-discipline teams using an agile approach to deliver strategic Future Mobility Technology products including strategies that set the NSW Governments agenda in the area of Future Mobility Technology and business cases to drive investment.
- Demonstrate a collaborative and agile approach to working with internal and external partners.
- Analyse the opportunities and risks from the adoption of future mobility technology and demonstrate the value that it provides to achieving customer outcomes.

**About you**
- The role presents an opportunity to shape real change and work with industry leaders to accelerate the scaled adoption of technology that will help improve kay transport outcomes like safety and sustainability.
- An ability to think strategically, understand the bigger picture, develop and analyse adoption pathways and drive positive change will be key to success in this role.
- Extensive and demonstrated experience analysing business needs and opportunities across a complex business environment and collaborating with a range of stakeholders to develop strategic advice.
- Experience in building strategic internal and external business relationships and collaborating with government, industry and academic stakeholders and an ability to communicate ideas to diverse audiences in written and verbal form is desired.
- Technical qualifications are not required, however an appreciation of technology and ability to lead collaboration with technical teams to enact change will be beneficial.

**Salary and Benefits**

The salary for this position is TfNSW Grade 9 ($142,178 -?$159,238) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
