An exciting opportunity has become available for the services of a highly motivated and suitably qualified Communications Officer to o accurately write, edit and proofread publications and resources for print and online platforms and project manage publication projects, and to assist with media management.
- Edit and proof, as required, publications including investigation reports and corruption prevention position papers and research reports in accordance with company's policy and procedures,
- Project manage and edit periodical company's print and HTML publications including the annual report, the staff e-newsletter and external e-newsletter.
- Write content for the company's products including the website.
- Advise staff writers on style etiquette and good writing practice to help them prepare external reports and papers.
- Coordinate the production process for company's publications and resources in consultation with the design and digital communications officer, and contribute to web content upload as required.
- Undertake media-related functions as directed by the manager communications and media including media liaison and management at public inquiries.

**Responsibilities will include but are not limited to**:

- Produce consistent high-quality editing and writing work with strict attention to accuracy and detail in accordance with Companys print and online content directives.
- Work with internal authors to ensure that companys print and online publications contain clear, accessible language while ensuring deadlines are met.
- Manage a diverse workload and work independently when required.

**People and communication**:

- Manage major publication projects including the annual report and internal and external HTML newsletter content.
- Provide expert writing advice to in-house writers from a range of disciplines using highly-developed negotiation and communication skills.
- Consult with the manager communications and media on project and work progress, and act as media back-up in the absence of the manager.
- Liaise with the design and digital communications officer in relation to desktop publishing and production tasks to ensure that schedules are maintained and deadlines met.

**Required qualifications or relevent experiance**:

- Must have demonstrated high-level skills and experience in editing, writing and proofreading a wide range of print and electronic publications, including annual reports, for diverse audiences, preferably from an in-house corporate environment.
- Hold a tertiary qualifications in communications, journalism or a similar discipline, or at least seven years’ equivalent experience in corporate writing, editing and proofreading, and be conversant in production processes.
- Some experience in media liaison including knowledge of media management and the ability to manage media enquiries and disseminate media materials is also required.
- Must be experienced in coordinating print and online publications, have high-level communication skills and be able to liaise with colleagues across the organisation, including senior executives.
