**Role**:
Attendance for this position is LPA of 30 days - 52/52.

Objectives will, generally, be clearly defined; guidelines will be broad and day-to-day direction mínimal. Management responsibility extends to ensuring appropriate support levels are maintained across the school. Range 4 generally provides key support and timely advice to the leadership team and school council and liaises with the general school community, the Department and other government agencies and service providers.

Specialised professional roles will carry a high level of independence and accountability where suitable scope is provided to achieve objectives.

An education support class position supports the educational services being provided to students, but must not include duties of teaching as defined in clause 2.6.1 of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic) or its successor. Supervision of students cannot be required except where it is an integral part of the employee¿s position or involves supervision of students individually or in small groups, in controlled circumstances, where the responsibility for students remains clearly with a teacher.

**Responsibilities**:
The incumbent will:

- Manage all ICT hardware in the school, including maintenance, warranty and insurance claims, repairs, etc. Hardware includes computers, printers, copiers, servers, wireless network hardware, CCTV, VOIP PABX, LAN hardware, etc
- Update ICT Roadmap, conduct ICT hardware census and asset management, as required
- Manage software across the school network
- Coordinate ICT technician workload
- Manage ICT budget
- Manage the schools BYOD Programs
- Appropriately protect and handle confidential data
- Liaise with companies and external providers
- Act as School Notebook Representative for DEECD teacher laptop program
- Manage network security - firewalls, virus protection, data backup, etc
- Manage internet filtering arrangements and ISP connection
- Manage internet usage and printing/copying accounting system for staff and students
- Ensure network availability for staff/students with minimum disruption - communicate any planned outages with relevant people
- Manage school intranet, provide ongoing development of intranet as required
- Communicate important issues and concerns to the Principal
- Maintain school website in coordination with school website content manager
- Regularly check for inappropriate use of the network (internet usage, gaming, etc) and provide details to eLearning Coordinator
- Manage user accounts across the network (including blocking users when relevant)
- Demonstrate a high level of confidentiality, respect and discretion.
- Comply with the school’s policies and procedures
- Demonstrate the school’s organisational values on a daily basis
- Maintain a healthy and safe working environment.
- Encourage a collaborative, team orientated environment.
- To undertake other duties and responsibilities within the dimensions of work level as requested by the principal or business manager.
- Commission & decommissioning of equipment.
