**About the opportunity**:
We are looking for a passionate, energetic and experienced Information Centre Support Officer to join the Planet Ark team. Reporting to the Information Centre Manager, this role will provide efficient and professional handling of enquiries on a range of our campaigns. This is a great opportunity for a passionate professional with experience in customer service and or administration work with an interest in sustainability and the environment

The Information Centre Support Officer will also participate in the efficient and professional handling of enquiries from the public, councils, recyclers, community and environment groups as well as other stakeholders in relation to all Planet Ark’s campaigns. This includes recording and interpreting data, information and feedback in the appropriate databases.

This is a full-time 12-month contract position, 37.5 hours per week. The salary range for this role is $55k-60k per annum + super and benefits.

After a recent trial we currently offer all full-time employees a 9-day working fortnight (67.5hours). These hours are worked with alternate Fridays as a non-working day. Staff are still paid at the rate for their full contracted hours. This is a staff health and wellbeing initiative, and we strive to work towards implementing a 4-day working week in the future.

**To succeed in this role, you must demonstrate**:

- Experience in customer service including phone, digital and social media
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills with a capacity for relationship management and diplomacy
- Strong time management skills, with an ability to manage ongoing concurrent tasks, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines all with a fine attention to detail
- Familiarity with the internet and databases, and a willingness to learn new skills in regard to content management
- Ability to work individually or as part of a team and to take directions from others
- A strong alignment with Planet Ark’s mission and values
