**About the role**

As Leading Hand (Roads District Team) you will be part of the Roads and Drainage team in the Works and Field Services Branch. This role is responsible for the general maintenance of roads within the city and providing direction for staff within the Roads Maintenance teams.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

- General maintenance of Council’s road network
- Comply with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
- Operate plant and equipment to perform maintenance works
- Ensure continuous improvement of services and staff
- Foster and encourage professional development of the team

To be successful in this role you will have:

- An excellent fit with our values of communication, collaboration, integrity, efficiency and leadership
- Relevant qualifications and experience in Civil Construction
- Familiarity with local road network
- The ability to be resilient and agile

**What's on offer?**

This is a permanent position, LGE Level 4-6 with a salary commencing at $62,387 plus superannuation of up to 12.25%.
