**About the role**

As Leading Hand (Arboriculture) you will be part of the Works and Field Services team and responsible for beautifying the city's trees and open spaces undertaking pruning, tree surgery, tree removal and arboricultural maintenance activities.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

- Prune and maintain trees across the city
- Operate specific arboricultural machinery including woodchippers, elevated platforms and chainsaws
- Tree climbing
- Lead a team to complete allocated work plans

**About you**

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Certificate III in Horticulture with Arboricultural competencies, or equivalent experience
- Chainsaw Operator’s ticket
- Current C Class driver’s licence
- Current HR Class licence
- Climbing qualifications
- General Safety Induction (Construction Industry) card
- Belief in our values of communication, collaboration, integrity, efficiency, and leadership

A pre-employment medical will be required for this role (Including drug and alcohol testing).
