**Role Summary**:
As the Compliance Officer, you will provide essential expertise for the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of Bradken’s global compliance framework consistent with HCM group compliance requirements.

To address potential risk areas, the Compliance Officer regularly conducts compliance risk assessments to ensure that Bradken’s compliance program and risk management program continue to address appropriate compliance and operational risks.

In collaboration with our global insurance broker, you will support the effective transfer of risk to insurers at Bradken’s annual insurance renewals. You will Support Legal Counsel on legal and insurance matters and assist Corporate Services with governance, risk, and insurance issues.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Maintain and monitor compliance registers (gifts, conflicts of interest, competitor contact, export control screening)
- Provide compliance oversight and guidance to the business
- Review and develop compliance policies and procedures
- Monitor and manage whistleblowing hotline concerns
- Prepare and deliver compliance training
- Collaborate with internal communications on internal compliance campaigns
- Build and maintain strong relationships with global cross-functional colleagues

**Key Technical Criteria**:

- Bachelor’s degree required, ideally a law degree but not essential
- 4+ years of experience in compliance or a related field, ideally in a global company in mining, manufacturing, energy or a similar industry
- Strong working knowledge and experience in (non-financial services) compliance matters, including due diligence of third parties, conflicts of interest, contact with competitors and anti-bribery and anti-corruption
- Exceptional skills in drafting policies, standards and procedures
- Self-starter with the ability to work flexibly in a hybrid working environment with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Discretion to handle sensitive whistleblowing matters
