**About the Role**:
This is a unique opportunity for an innovative thinker. The Manager, Early Childhood Education and Community Services is a pivotal role to the successful delivery of contemporary vocational education and training. The overall purpose of this position is to provide leadership and management of staff and programs within the College of Health, Early Childhood and Community Services involving Community Services, Community Development, Mental Health, Youth Work, Alcohol and Other Drugs and Child, Youth and Family programs.

This position has a key role in planning, and financial accountability of the training and assessment services that meet the needs of the sector, foster innovative practice, and develop staff capacity in the emerging tertiary environment. The position is also responsible for generating strategic business activity and growth for the areas above along with Early Childhood Education and Support. The position is fully responsible for achievement of organisational objectives and programs under the scope of the position.

**Duties**:

- Leading and managing quality compliance of ASQA, VRQA and HESG service agreements within the Community Services discipline.
- Planning, developing and managing in collaboration with your team innovative education provision and services to individuals, industry and communities both locally, nationally and internationally.
- Implement strategies to ensure that delivery within the department meets the needs of learners, with emphasis on modern and contemporary approaches to pedagogy.

**This full-time position will be offered on a 5-year fixed term contract basis at the classification level of Senior Educator 3, salary of $115,873 per annum, 38 hours per week plus 11% employer superannuation contribution.**

- Have experience in tertiary teaching environments that address contemporary approaches to learner-centered, flexible education, including online.

- Ability and desire to support business development activities and to operate within a commercial environment.
- A high standard of interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to develop effective stakeholder relationships, and influence outcomes.
- Have process and project management experience in environments of competing priorities, tight deadlines and multiple stakeholders.
- Have initiative, curiosity and someone who will enjoy the challenges of working across a multi-disciplinary and multi-campus team, are also vital to success in this role.
- Take a Multi-sector perspective and understanding of key issues in VET and Higher Education as well as Industry, which informs development and implementation initiatives.
