**About the Role**

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our team as a **School General Operational Assistant**. The successful applicant will work with the Assistant Principal and front office staff to monitor and maintain the building and grounds at the school.

**Essential Criteria**

Successful applicants for the position will demonstrate:

- A commitment to the goals of Catholic education and a readiness to foster the aims and vision of the College in the wider community;
- Ability to work within routines, methods and procedures, with some discretion involved in selection of equipment, work organisation, services and actions;
- Motivation, initiative and the ability to work independently;
- Experience in the operations of cleaning and gardening;
- Skill level which assumes and requires knowledge, training or experience relevant to the duties to be performed.

**Desirable**:

- Experience in the use of power tools
- Certified Training in any of the following:

- Working at heights
- White card

Some duties of the role include but not limited to:

- Daily monitoring and cleaning of student and staff toilet facilities
- Daily cleaning of outdoor areas - sweeping, raking, blowing leaves as required
- Emptying of outside bins as required
- Minor repairs and maintenance around the school; including minor patching and painting
- Gardening and weeding as required
- Deliver all parcels, boxes and incoming supplies to the relevant locations
- Assembling furniture and relocation of classroom or office furniture
