Reporting to the Intake Coordinator - Education and Care, this varied and interesting role provides administrative support to our CRCS programs and services including the Children’s Services Administration Team (CSAT). As a great administrator keen to learn new skills, you will assist our organisation and community by demonstrating your skills and knowledge of Early Education, the systems used, the way enrolments, accounts and reporting works.

About the role
As an administrator you will reconcile financial transactions, keep all relevant data up to date and ensure reports are sent to management in a timely manner.
This type of varied role doesn't come along every day Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of administrative tasks, from handling inquiries and maintaining data to financial transactions and reporting, including:
Collaborate with the Community Services Directorate and the Department of Education to professionally represent CRCS and achieve contractual outcomes.
Contribute to the growth of Early Education and Care services in the Capital Region while maintaining high service quality.
Support the day-to-day operations of the Children's Services Admin Team, including banking, accounts, enrolments, submission of data to CCS, placements, and agency reporting.
Assist Nominated Supervisors in managing and implementing operational changes, especially in response to unexpected events like Covid-19 impacts.
Prepare and administer Child Care Enrolments and relevant support documentation.
Liaise with external parties, including other agencies and case management services.
Handle general administration tasks such as supply orders and account follow-ups, including debt collection when necessary.
Assist with end-of-month closing tasks, including finalising transaction entries, reconciliation, and report generation.
**To be successful in this role we are looking for someone with**:
Minimum of three years of experience in a similar administrative role.
Possess the personal attributes of optimism, resilience and flexibility
Willingness to join CRCS engagement and connection activities which may be outside normal working hours
Demonstrated experience of the administration of database records and extraction of information for reporting
Demonstrated experience with handling account enquiries and associated investigation
Demonstrated organisational skills with strong attention to detail and good problem-solving abilities
Professional and effective communication skills and the ability to engage with people from diverse backgrounds
Ability to work autonomously and be self-motivated
Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels
Positive attitude with the ability and willingness to take on a variety of tasks
Have or be willing to obtain a PRODA account to perform aspects of the role on Government online platforms
Qualification(s) in business administration or related field, and knowledge of CRCS and other service providers within ACT, the community sector and/or the Education and Care Sector would also be highly advantageous.

Hold or be willing to obtain a satisfactory Working with Vulnerable People registration (ACT) and/or a Working with Children Check (NSW), and have these with them at all times whilst employed by CRCS.
Undertake a National Criminal History Clearance by CRCS prior to commencing and every three years thereafter as a condition of employment. Employees are required to advise CRCS of any convictions that may effect their eligibility to work or perform the inherent requirements of their position
Maintain full COVID-19 vaccination currency and provide evidence of their vaccinations to CRCS (sensitive information is kept private and in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles) unless they are able to provide suitable evidence of a medical contraindication that prevents them from receiving this vaccine.
