Diplomatik is currently looking for an experienced **Library & Museum Assistant** who is able to complete **a 6 month assignment** with our client in Belmont.

As a Library & Museum Assistant you will be assisting with the planning, support and delivery of an efficient and effective library and museum service to the community. You will undertake a range of administrative duties, including basic research, typing of reports, minutes, filing and compiling statistics, assist with the planning, development and delivery of services to Museum customers, and assist with the accessioning, storage and display of the Museum’s artefacts and the maintenance and development of the local history archive.

About you:

- Competent and confident with excellent customer service and have excellent attention to detail
- Be able to commence as soon possible for a period of 6 months (approximately early January 2025)
- Flexible in working according to a roster (Monday to Friday and some Saturdays)
- Excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution and negotiation skills with the ability to

communicate with a wide range of people and groups, to ensure delivery of a high level of customer service
- Previous relevant experience working within a Museum, Library or similar customer service environment
- Sound research and written communication skills
- Proven organisational and administrative skills preferably within a Museum or Library

environment
- Ability to exercise initiative and good judgement when required
- A good understanding of Work, Health and Safety requirements, as they relate to this position
- Possession of, or the ability to acquire, a current motor vehicle driver’s licence
- Possession of, or the ability to acquire, a satisfactory National Police Clearance Certificate (dated within the last twelve months)
- Australian working rights
