A great opportunity has become available for an experienced **Desktop Administrator **to join our team based in Rydalmere. The Desktop Administrator is a critical role in our New Way of Working within the End User Compute Squad and provides on-site support across the Sydney sites for all IT systems within scope of support Service Level Agreement.

**KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

As a Desktop Administrator, you are accountable for:

- Provide 1st and 2nd level support and fault diagnosis resolution for technology in scope including support in resolving hardware and software issues.
- Maintain an efficient hardware refresh program for all desktop hardware within scope.
- Update incidents, requests and tasks with information relevant to customer calls.
- Assist with the deployment of software to customers via remote tools including UAT.
- Assist with asset management and troubleshooting of mobility services.
- Maintain CMDB of all assets for technology in scope.
- Identify Problems through the analysis of Incidents.
- Follow the Change and Release process including User Testing.
- Identify and participate in the Continued Service Improvement Program (CSIP) for End User Compute.
- Operate within established framework of ITIL processes such as Change, Release, Incident, Problem management and Agile.
- Champion in the new ways of working to develop an agile mindset.
- Comply with and assist in the enforcement of Thales Security Policies and Procedures
- Engage in continuous learning to broaden as well as deepen the incumbent’s skill base
- Comply with all relevant company Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental policies, framework and work practices with the intent of preventing or minimising accidental exposures to self, colleagues, visitors and/or the environment and to ensure a safe work practise at all times.

**KEY KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE**

To be successful in your role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience:

- Understanding and experience with Windows 10, Microsoft Office Suite Experience with fault finding with conferencing equipment and conferencing software
- Excellent desktop hardware diagnostic and support skills for desktops, notebooks, Hybrids, multifunction printers and other associated peripherals. Support of VPN solutions over WiFi and 4G/5G (Secure Remote Access devices), for telecommuting
- SCCM Client Manager or similar enterprise desktop management and remote software deployment solutions
- McAfee Virus Scan Enterprise or similar enterprise virus management solutions
- Disk encryption products such as McAfee Endpoint Encryption, Bitlocker or similar
- Understanding of anti-virus, smart phones, wireless connectivity and multi-function device
