Consumer Lending Manager

**About the role**

As the Consumer Lending operations manager at Great Southern Bank, your primary responsibility is to oversee the day-to-day operations of the credit card and personal loan departments. You will be responsible for managing a team of customer service representatives, underwriters, and other operations professionals, and ensuring that all processes are efficient, accurate, and meet customer needs.

**About you**
- To be successful in this role, you will need to have strong leadership and management skills, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. You should also have a thorough understanding of lending regulations and industry best practices, as well as experience managing a team of operations professionals
- 3+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in Banking and Finance with a focus on operational process improvement
- Strong understanding of consumer lending and experience in working with front line customer service teams.
- Excellent leadership skills and experience in managing and leading large team
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful strategies across teams and divisions
- Experience managing cross-functional team and working with external partners
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams and senior management.
- Knowledge of banking and finance industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Results-driven with a proven track record of delivering business results.
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field (Recommended but not essential)
- Driven and ambitious to achieve excellence
- Enthusiastic about sharing knowledge, wins and achievements
- Organisational, planning and decision-making abilities
- Passionate about helping customers and delivering the best service experience in the market
- Strong intuitive problem solving and negotiation skills
