About us
- Both the Major Projects Team and the Dhumba Murmuk Djerring Unit (DMDU) Koori Unit are in CSV's Jurisdiction Services. Major Projects is responsible for delivering both the Bendigo Law Courts (due to open in early 2023) and the Wyndham Law Courts (due to open in early 2025)
- The (DMDU) Koori Unit supports the development, implementation and evaluation of Koori programs and policies across the Victorian courts group.
About the role
- Support the development of the Bendigo and Wyndham Law Courts projects, including the expansion of the Koori Court and Koori programs
- Provide a cultural lens to project development, design guidelines and service development undertaken in Major Projects and other relevant business units/jurisdictions.
- Develop and maintain strong communication and effective relationships with key Koori communities and non-Koori stakeholders.
About you
- Skills and experience in engaging with Victorian Koori communities including Traditional Owner groups.
- A sound knowledge of Koori culture, society, and demonstrated understanding of the value of cultural safety, lived experience and placebased approaches.
- Good project management skills including ability to work collaboratively across two work teams, and deliver within project timelines.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Victorian Koori community and its cultural complexities including experience in working with Traditional Owners
- Demonstrated project management skills and experience with a capacity to think strategically and work collaboratively within a team.
